I’m glad you mentioned the sand exfoliation method. I heard about this from another beauty vlog. I bring home a gallon bag or two each time we come back from our beach home in Florida. I use the sand for beachy craft projects but never thought about using it on my body! DOH! Lol anyway, I do exfoliate whole on the beach and notice my skin looks amazing after coming home, including my feet. So I now have a new use for bags of white sand! I also have a jar of scrub I made…

…of pure cold pressed virgin coconut oil, brown sugar and sea salt. I scrub my arms and legs with it just before rinsing off in the shower. Since my skin gets ashy dry in the winter, I’ve also been using a back scrub brush on my legs instead of a plain ole wash rag.

This is awesome! I love all sorts of scrubs…especially in the winter! Never thought to do salt and sugar in one scrub – fun! 🙂

Well, the brown sugar has good qualities in it, can’t remember now what! But it mixes well with the coconut oil and creates a lovely fragrance. Salt is detoxifying so it’s nice to combine them. I just keep it in a plastics tub w/screw on lid in the shower. Makes great gifts too!
