I used 4 double wefts (some were 1/2 wefts next to each other…but 4 rows total) 🙂

  2. Ebbie Versace says:

    please answer LOL

  3. 52weeksofbeauty says:

You wash your hair like normal. 🙂 The conditioner does not make them slip out at all. I even use the Macadamia conditioner and 3 Minute Aussie Conditioner. The tape stays in! 🙂

  4. Lucy Hollingdale says:

When you use a flat iron or curling iron on the tape extensions how close is a safe distance from the tape for the heat? 🙂 x

  5. eveyshantali says:

you’re amazing, smart and gorgeous 🙂

  6. eveyshantali says:

how long do these taped in extensions last on your hair?and also I have curly hair how close to the tape I can get to? Thanks

  7. 52weeksofbeauty says:

I forgot to answer your last question! And it’s not silly at all! I would say it is time for new extensions when they are VERY dry and no oil, deep conditioning treatments or heat will even help bring them back to life…

  8. kelli patterson says:

You are by far the best teacher for these hair extensions. I went ahead and tried it. Though I bought the premium hair extensions from Sally and tape as well, they turned out with your step by step help absolutely fab. No one knew at the party we went to I had them in. Just got compliments about how full my hair looked. I bought the tape you have on ebay, and wanted to know your hair extension name again. Is it real human hair? Thanks so much. Love you and your videos.

  9. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Awww- that’s great news! Thank you so much for sharing that lil story about the party! It’s always so nice when someone compliments you on your hair (extensions – shh) 😉 The name of my company is Miss Flirty Hair and it is real human 100% Remy hair. Love you back! xo! 🙂

  10. 52weeksofbeauty says:

4-10 weeks depending on how you care for them! What tape did you use? I love Walker tape. Make sure you put the tape weft ON your part (on your scalp a bit) and don’t condition before you install them – just use a good clarifying shampoo. Also – don’t wash your hair for 24-48 hours after installation. Good Luck and plz keep me updated! 🙂

  11. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Oh yay! That makes me so happy to hear!! Thank you for letting me know and I am SO HAPPY you like them! 🙂

  12. Victoria Anderson says:

Will it damage the tape if you brush it back into a ponytail often?

  13. 52weeksofbeauty says:

No – it won’t…Just be gentle with the brush over the tape 🙂

  14. stylelapin says:

I’m so glad I found your channel! I was getting ready to drop a ton of cash at the salon for tape ins, but this looks so easy you’ve convinced me to try DIY! Subbed and now watching a marathon of your tape extension videos 🙂

  15. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yippee!! That is so awesome to hear!! Let me know if u have any questions :)!

  16. Codiegirl101 says:

If you want you can use other things to curl your hair with instead of hot tools. That really messes with you actual hair. Try using curlformers. I put them in before school and slightly wet them then blowdry them and I get a perfect curl that I can brush out to make a cute wave look. Love your videos! 🙂

  17. PelvicWoo says:

I’ve been using extensions for a little over a year and a half now, and I always told myself, “Only until my hair grows out!” … A year and a half later, it hasn’t grown out at all… Granted, a lot of it has probably been from me damaging my hair more than I should have, but I’m going to stay away from damage as much as I can… I’ve never used Tape-ins, but I’m planning to start some time this month. One question – Does natural hair have room to grow with these extensions in?

  18. idunnonicole says:

I can’t cut with scissors lol I have to use a razor comb.

  19. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Curlformers? Never used those before. Can u do a video about them?!

  20. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yes – great question…it does. Absolutely. When my hair grows, the taped part moves down a bit and then after about 4-6 weeks, I take tape out and re-apply higher!

  21. 52weeksofbeauty says:

I have never tried a razor comb – sounds like it would be fab though for diy extension trims!

  22. idunnonicole says:

It is so simple. A lot of those emo scene kids use them. It shoulda come up if u look up “how I cut my scene hair”

  23. dippy1257 says:

I have tried every hair extension under the sun spending a fortune! I am going to give this type a go I’ve never seen this way before & you make it look so easy. Going to look for the tape now. Hope you keep your videos coming shame I you only do the 52. Will you be doing any updos with them in? My mum & Dad are renewing their wedding vows (40years ) & since I will have these extension by then it would’ve be nice to have it up. Subscribed so keep them coming. x

  24. PelvicWoo says:

Thank you so much for answering! I’ve watched all of your videos on tape-ins and I’m pretty confident that it’ll be the best choice for me. I’ve had the same kind of experiences with other extension types, so I’m pretty excited to try this out! Thank you for all the help, and keep up the great videos! <3

  25. 52weeksofbeauty says:

    Ok ty!!

  26. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Thank you so much! I will def be doing a video about hairstyles with tape ins soon! xo!

  27. liizzzieify says:

this is fantastic video thankyou so much! 🙂 x

  28. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Thank you so much – that is so sweet of you to say!! 🙂

  29. William Dong says:

    you are amazing

  30. Codiegirl101 says:

There’s also ways you can curl or straighten your hair without heat. 🙂 if you put it in a loose braid maybe two then take then out in the morning they will look good! 🙂

  31. Lindsay Cook says:

what about blow drying with a round brush? I have wavy hair so i blow dry with a round brush to straighten and dry at the same time

  32. Lindsay Cook says:

and fyi if you take vertical section of your hair and over direct it to match your hair length and the extension length at the bottom, it will give you a more flowing look matching up with your own length, but to point cut the whole time because it will blend easier.

  33. Eva Mejia says:

Hi, i want to say, your video is by far the best! what kind of hair extensions do you have in your hair. Also, I think tape ins are the best for me. right now i have clip ins, and would like to have them in all the time, so Im thinking of tape ins. I see yours don’t tangle when out of the shower. I have never shampooed mine in my hair, I wash them alone, separate. I would like to know which ones you are using, and any tips on tape ins. thanks eva

  34. Rhonda Farkas says:

1 week ago I got skin wefts taped and glued in. I love them!! I have a question though… Is it possible to get even more volume by adding my clip-in extensions between them? Of course I would be careful not to disturb the ones I had put in by the salon.

  35. Tammy Kemper says:

hi..i have a question ..I love to use coconut oil in my hair kind of lika a treatment especially at my roots, can i still do this with tape in extensions? or will the oil break down the glue on the tape? if i cant use them it on the root do you think using on the length of the hair would be alright? Thanks for your help 🙂 ♥

  36. 52weeksofbeauty says:

    Thank you!!

  37. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yes – anytime I have time to let my hair air – dry – I try to. So much better to not use heat! 🙂

  38. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! I wouldn’t recommend using a round brush when you have tape ins – in. Round brushes pull a little too much for the tape… And – thank you for the cutting tips! 🙂

  39. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi Eva! Thank you so much!! I am using my own brand – Miss Flirty Clip – In Hair Extensions. I cut the clips off and use Walker 3/8″ x 3 yards tape to make my own tape wefts. They do not tangle at all for me…I love tape ins!! 🙂

  40. 52weeksofbeauty says:

YES! Great question! I do this myself actually sometimes! There usually is plenty of free hair and room in-between the taped parts – so you can definitely add some clip ins for extra volume! 🙂

  41. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! Oil does break down the tape – but you have to fully satarate the taped areas and wait for 30-60 minutes for it to actually start lifting the tape from your hair. So – if you are VERY careful to only get your roots, then I would say it’s ok…but I probably wouldn’t if I were you. Just the ends would be best while you have tape ins in. When you take them out – give your hair an overnight oil treatment and then re-apply tape ins a day or two later. 🙂

  42. Tammy Kemper says:

thank you soo much for taking the time to answer my question..soo helpful and appreciated 🙂 You videos are great! i will try making my own tape in as it cools down here in az. Looking forward to more videos!♥

  43. Victoriamac21 says:

Please answer , can I use the same hair forever and just keep replacing the tape

  44. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yes you certainly can re-use! Especially if you get a very high quality Remy… Maybe not “forever”…but certainly for many months…

  45. Kelsey Noelle says:

Can you put clips back on the extensions if you wanted too?

  46. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yes – you would want to soak the sticky part of the weft in Weft Release for a few hours or overnight – to get the remainder stickiness off…

  47. DiiJiiGii says:

In another video you said to be cautious with the hair for the first week, should we wait past the first week to do any trimming like this?

  48. 52weeksofbeauty says:

It would be ok – as long as you were careful not to pull the hair at all while you cut it…

  49. Genia Ginevan says:

HI love your videos I have a qiuestion My hair dresser told me he would have to throw my extensions away and put in brand new ones..They have only been in for 2 1/2 mos. I am so glad I watched this as I was told I could nor reuse them because the tape is gone. haha I will order me some new tape and do it my slf..also he put super glue in them how do I get the glue out…with the Jamician Dream Glue remover?

  50. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! Yes u can DEFINITELY reuse them! Weft Release will help remove some old glue, but u don’t have to remove it all. The old glue will help the new tape stick even better! 🙂 Send me an email if u want even more tips for this. 🙂

  51. Kassandra Loera says:

Hi I have tape extensions in right now Ive had them for about a month and 1/2 but my hair has grown fast and I feel like when I put my hair up you can see some of them should I go to my hair dresser to take off and put on again or let them grow more?

  52. fransbeautyblog says:

I followed your tips on the installation of the hair extensions and loved them! I put them in 5 days ago and thought that it would be ready for me to wash my hair but to my horror they all started falling out. Can you suggest what I might have done wrong? My hair was free of moisture to start with when I put them in and I made sure I didn’t touch the glue at all before it went on my hair 🙁 x

  53. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi – I am so sorry for the delay… If they are starting to show – I would suggest you have them re-done, so they are up again higher. I usually re-do mine after 4-6 weeks…bc my hair grows too and makes the top easier to see.

  54. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi – so sorry for delay… Did you watch my: “Tape – Issues” video? That may help you… Is your hair normally really silky naturally? That may be one reason? Also – 5 days may be too long since it’s summer and all the heat makes our hair a little more oily.

  55. NancyGonzalezzzz says:

I was wondering what size curler you used to achieve beach waves they came out so good on you.

  56. gabrijel kaldaras says:

how many hair did you taped whole set of 170 g or,it looks like a loooot of hair

  57. Kyle Minns says:

When you layer extensions you should never blunt cut like you did just because its harder to blend out the lines a easy way to blend them is take small 1 in vertical sections an start slide cutting from were your natural hair ends an the extensions start. you get an even blend much faster

  58. SouthernGirlBeauty says:

I have been looking into tape in hair extensions for a while now. I usually use clip ins but they have gotten to be too much of a hassle to put in every morning and they hurt my head if I wear them for more than a couple of hours. You have seriously sold me on tape ins. 🙂 Thank you so much! Totally subbing 🙂

  59. Ausstan Layton says:

Do they lossin with conditoner or everywach

  60. Ausstan Layton says:

    * loosen with every Wash?

  61. 52weeksofbeauty says:

No they don’t – or they shouldn’t… It helps to NOT put a TON of conditioner around taped in area. Some is fine – but a ton may loosen them a bit…

  62. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! Love your main pic! And – I used a 1″ curling iron…and thank you 🙂

  63. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! I did not use the whole pack…maybe about 140grams.

  64. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Thank you Kyle.. that sounds hard – lol but I may try it that way sometime if I am feeling courageous! 😉

  65. 52weeksofbeauty says:

So sweet! And yay! Make sure to watch Week 33 – I am sooo addicted to this way of doing tape ins now!

  66. julie jules says:

you are seriously the best tutorial to watch. you get to the point without being annoying! thank u

  67. 52weeksofbeauty says:

LOVE hearing that – thank you so much!! 🙂

  68. Michelle Downes says:

I’m getting mine done in a few days although I need them dyed to be my exact color. The lady who is doing it told me she will be putting them in, then dying it and then later washing it out. Is this okay?

  69. 52weeksofbeauty says:

It would be better to do it separately if you can… If she has to dye the extensions while in your hair – just make sure the dye doesn’t get too close to the tape.

  70. fairysa K says:

you really opened my eyes with this method i am going to do this tomorrow, and i was looking for another method and this is exactly what i was looking for this is even better then sandwiching it bc this helps your grow out just blend in and you cant see the tracks trough it just awsome, i was so desprate i want it too gleu it almost but this is iiiiiiit!!!! love your hair love you and for sharing this with us loveeeeees !! :)))

  71. emdelity says:

Ahhh!! I am so glad i found your channel! I love your videos, super informal and easy to watch/listen. I can’t wait to watch all your videos and by the way you look really fit and I think i saw that you have a fitness/diet video. Can’t wait to see how you stay in shape:)

  72. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Love you back!! And you are sooooo welcome!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  73. 52weeksofbeauty says:

You are SO sweet! I REALLY want to do more fitness/diet/protein videos and I plan to soon! Just in a tape in craze right now. 😉 Thx for the sweet comments! 🙂

  74. tuanikivale4114 says:

So does heat from the flat iron ruin the tape ?

  75. TisMe Amber says:

Can you do a high pony tail with these in??

  76. MountainGurl says:

I’m very perplexed… in every other tutorial for tape in extensions I’ve found they sandwich your natural hair between two tape wefts. In your videos you apply tape to both sides but, then you put that weft straight onto your head.. no sandwich. Doesn’t that mean one sticky side is exposed? Whats the deal?

  77. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Yes – that is correct. One sticky side is exposed…but a few hairs adhere to the top sticky part…helping to conceal the weft when the wind blows. 🙂

  78. 52weeksofbeauty says:

    Yes – absolutely!

  79. 52weeksofbeauty says:

No – not at all. There is a backing on. After heating – you peel the backings off 🙂

  80. georgie92782 says:

Hello I was wondering if u could help me, my hair is at an awkward length where I have a hard time hiding the bottom later of my real hair in with extensions you can always see it ? Would it show with tape in? Thanks so much love your videos there so help full 🙂 xx

  81. georgie92782 says:

Is it better to do the one inch wefts or normal sizes ? Thanks

  82. Caitlin Little says:

I tried clip-ins, micro-beads, and glue in and I didn’t really care for any of them, but I think I might just try the tape since you can wear them up and they look really natural. Thanks for the video!

  83. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Hi! You may want to stagger them towards the bottom (instead of just straight across) – so your real hair is nicely mixed in.

  84. 52weeksofbeauty says:

I like normal sizes, but 1″ looks more natural I think…

  85. 52weeksofbeauty says:

Awesome! Let me know how it goes for you! 🙂

  86. Veronica Soto says:

Wow this has sold me on tape ins .. Thanks so much .. I am a new be.. Used clip on b4.. Needed something more.. Can u talk about blending with shorter hair .. Ugh…. So glad I found you

  87. Astyn Buckland says:

can you tie your hair into a ponytail with just a hair tye with tape in extensions? Does it disturb the wefts or show through?

  88. Rebecca Read says:

OMG, I think you may have provided the answers to my prayers! My hair is so fine, I cannot do a thing with it! I’ve tried every type of extension method, but nothing has worked well so far. Glue-in wefts gave the most natural result but made my hair even thinner; I literally tore a weave out after 3 days as it itched so much, clip-ins felt uncomfortable, irritated my scalp and looked bulky, and the “beading” type extensions just showed through as soon as I was in bright light, not to mention just hanging there in unnatural clumpy strands!! Clip-in ponytails hurt like hell, and I can’t even wear 3/4 falls / hairpieces as they tend to be very thick and it’s difficult to hide the join-line. The ONLY thing that has worked for me to date, was applying wefts with water-soluble glue, but I have a pretty busy life, so you can imagine how time-consuming it was to re-apply EVERY time I washed my hair -so I gave up! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome, inspiring videos! I can’t wait to get started, and I’ll let you know how I get on! Just one question, re the hair itself: What hair would you recommend? Human hair I’ve bought in the past seems to go “puffy” and unmanagable after about 10 days. I’m in the UK btw. xx

  89. janene castellanos says:

How many packages did you use or pieces did you have in your hair? I have fine hair shoulder length and I bought a package of 20 do you think its enough? I just want to ad some length and volume.

  90. Katlyn Alleman says:

Love the video it helps a lot

  91. Caroline Sexton says:

Here’s a tip – If you cut all the weft lengths the same length, then (naturally), when you apply the wefts up your head from the bottom or down from the top, they will be naturally blended into a layered style. If have an approximate length that you know you want your bottom layer to be, then cut all the pieces the same length as that bottom piece and then apply the others of that same length all over your head and it will be perfectly layered throughout. The exception for most of us with fine hair is that you will keep two to four wefts that you have angle-cut for the sides of your head in the front to face layer. This makes it really easy when you remove and reapply over and over again. And since the front sides are angle-cut, it’s simple to identify them when it’s time to reapply.

  92. chelsea lumpkin says:

what size is your hair? that is about the same size I want. and how long does tape last? my hair is short hate it! I really love my hair long so I really want to try it.

  93. gLENNzLOEL says:

This îs sow bad honest! If you don’t know haw to cut your hair ,don’t teach other people wrong!

  94. Crystal Zeigler says:

i do this process for my extensions, but i DO NOT cut them like this. once they are taken out it is so hard to get them back in the same spot so they look the same. i use a razor cut on only the top few rows and do a slide cut from the end of my natural hair length to the end of the piece im cutting. it blends a lot better and are very easy to put back in after the cut.

  95. Lizette Reyez says:

omg I’m amazed with your videos. I just order my tape on ebay and now I’m going to sally’s to check on the hair weft prices. I just need you to help me with one thing. my hair is naturally curly. should I get curly hair weft or straight? thanks and hope to hear from you soon!!!!

  96. PrinceTrey323 says:

Those layers look a HOTT mess

  97. Erin Nicole says:

hey what brand of hair extensions do you have in your hair?

  98. ladytrunte says:

where do you buy your hair 🙂

  99. ExtensionOfDenim2 says:

to anyone that wears extensions… do not cut them yourself, ESP as shown in this video. have them installed and cut/layered by a professional.

  100. Averie Scites says:

I am just curious on if the technique of “sandwiching” the extensions between your hair makes your head feel sticky of making straightening your hair harder. My hair is ultra curly and I was afraid if I straighten my hair with the glue on the outer parts makes it impossible to straighten hair. I have also seen girls sandwich the hair in between two extension pieces and have you ever done that? Does it work well or do you stick with your way because its easier and better? Thank you pretty! 🙂

  101. Cherie Giombetti says:

As a practicing cosmetologist I had to stop the video. This is why I have had to correct so many bad haircuts and “dye jobs”. People please just PAY and find a licensed PROFESSIONAL who has experience with extensions.

  102. shldiblv says:

    Great tutorial!! Thank you ^_^

  103. ironhorseranch says:

Hi I had tape in extensions in( took them out today they looked like crap cause I don’t think the lady new what she was doing) so now I’m going to do them myself . I have super short hair and this lady used extensions that were a inch wide do u think it would show if I used the whole big peaces like u do???

  104. deb martin says:

Thanks so much for the video… I got my 1st tape ext. a few wks ago and love them .Your video shows so many ways I can wear them…and yours are gorgeous !!!!

  105. Punkway Drive says:

Could you make a video of updo-hairstyles with tape-in extensions? Pleeeease

  106. Skyy Lerr says:

I work out a lot, doing a lot of running and lifting weights 4-5 times a week. Will tape in extensions still work for me?

  107. easternhair says:

    Awesome tutorial! Thank you!

  108. Rosemaryy Traitsess says:

how many grams of hair is that?:)

  109. Katie Loos says:

Omg lol as u cut ur hair I almost cried lol I’m a licensed cosmetologist lol try taking a vertical section, find ur natural hair and start just a tiny bit past it and slide cut down to the perimeter. Lol

  110. Season Hatcher says:

Curious question… do you think it would be possible to layer Miss Flirty extensions with a Creaclip?

  111. sashafire1987 says:

Very informative video, in case you’d also find this helpful I usually cut my extensions on a downward angle to blend them. I find it helps unify the layers and is quicker than your solo method of cutting up. You might enjoy adding it to your routine, your hair looks really nice with the waves.

  112. saly awad says:

    How long these extensions are?

  113. Maria Söderblom says:

Really smart! 🙂 thanks for the vid <3 Beautifully done ^^

  114. Dawn Gilley says:

Just got tape ins and love them! But, I’m paranoid about everything! I am petrified to wash my hair! UGH

  115. AMC Events By Angela Caliguri says:

Can you show us your hair in an actual clip and also different ponytails please?

  116. Mya s says:

I really recommend getting a proper blending done by a professional because if not it can so choppy like this. Once you have them blended you can wear them straight and it doesn’t look choppy. Otherwise you always have to wear them curled so they don’t look awful. I do hair for a living and I also apply my own and blend them myself. Maybe you should invest in some blending shears that will save you the time and headache of getting it all to look seamless. But I really do recommend letting a pro cut them because if you mess them up, then its money down the drain, its isn’t growing back. lol

Thank you so much for uploading these videos. They are very informative. I just got tape in hair extensions five days ago and have yet to wash them, as I was told that I didn’t need to wash my hair every other day with these in, but I could tie them back & wash my own hair on the top every other day. And wash the extensions once a week. Perhaps that way I will get more use out of them for longer.I sleep with them in a loose plait at night and then they are a bit wavy the next morning lol. I sometimes find them itchy, it’s really annoying. But five years ago I had the sew in wefts and they were also itchy. I got 3 months wear out of them before they were taken out, which was great. I think that the tape ins are more fragile and perhaps may not last as long, but we’ll see lol 🙂
